| Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $3,750 each, will be granted annually, in any term, to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria: -are Indigenous (First Nations, M�tis or Inuit); -are enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; -are pursuing an undergraduate degree in any faculty; -are in good academic standing; and, -are a caregiver to another person who is dependent due to age, illness, disability, or other circumstances (as defined below). Applications must include: - a written statement from the applicant outlining the current situation of their caregiving circumstances (no more than 500 words). Caregiver is defined as an individual who provides ongoing physical, emotional, or practical support to a dependent family member or someone with whom they have a close personal relationship. This includes caring for a child, parent, grandparent, partner, relative, or close friend due to age, illness, disability, or other circumstances. This definition applies only to personal, non-professional caregiving and does not include volunteer work in care homes or institutional settings. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee. |
