| Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $2,500, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; -is enrolled in an undergraduate program in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology; - is in good academic standing; - is a mature student (as defined by SFU Admissions); and -has demonstrated community service and/or volunteer involvement. If a mature student is not identified in a particular year, the Chair, Department of Sociology & Anthropology will consider undergraduate students that meet the criteria for this award. Applications must include: - a statement outlining the applicant�s community service and/or volunteer involvement; and - a letter of reference from a community member who can verify the applicant�s community service and/or volunteer involvement. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the recommendation of the Chair, Department of Sociology & Anthropology or their designate. |
