Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $3,750, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; - is in good academic standing; - is pursuing a bachelor�s degree in any faculty; -is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident; -has made contributions to the well-being of their local, provincial, or national community; and - whose parents have never completed a post-secondary education at an institution anywhere in the world. Applications must include: - a statement from the applicant outlining the importance of being a member of the first generation of their immediate family to pursue a post-secondary degree; and, - a statement from the applicant outlining the applicant�s community/volunteer involvement; and - at least one letter of reference from someone who can verify the community/volunteer service and the impact of the applicant�s role in that service. Preference will be given to students who are children of immigrants. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee. |
