Terms of Reference One or more awards, valued at a minimum of $3,500, will be granted annually to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; -is pursuing a bachelor�s degree in the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering at the SFU Surrey campus; - is in good academic standing; -responds to the Bing Thom Foundation call for proposal; and -has demonstrated a commitment to impacting and/or improving their community through principles of engineering. Applications must include: - a statement describing how the applicant has demonstrated impacting/improving their community through principles of engineering; and -a response to the following call to proposal of no more than 500 words: �The most significant change is that the school has been concerned with understanding architecture rather than the production of architects.� �Students should not lose sight of their real purpose in changing civilization.� Henry Elder, UBC Archives Senate Tributes Head of the School of Architecture, UBC 1962-1974 Henry Elder inspired Bing to explore the library, with a theoretical thesis �In Search of a Problem� instead of producing an imaginary thesis of architectural drawings.
