| Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $2,000, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: -is enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; -is in good academic standing; -is pursuing a bachelor�s degree in any faculty; -has made contributions to the well-being of their local, provincial, or national community; and -whose parents have never completed a post-secondary education at an institution anywhere in the world. Applications must include: -a statement from the applicant outlining the importance of being a member of the first generation of their immediate family to pursue a post-secondary degree; -a statement from the applicant outlining the applicant�s community/volunteer involvement; and -at least one letter of reference from someone who can verify the community/volunteer service and the impact of the applicant�s role in that service. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee. |
