Procedure Student Application
Terms of Reference At least five awards, valued at a minimum of $2,000 each, will be granted annually in any term, with preference to the Spring term, to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria: - are Indigenous (First Nations, M�tis, Inuit); - are enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; - are pursuing a bachelor�s degree in any faculty; - are in good academic standing; and - have demonstrated community service within an organization or community of benefit to the Indigenous community. Preference will be given to students who are involved in supporting the First Nations, M�tis and Inuit Student Association, the SFU Indigenous Student Centre and/or are mentoring learners in the Indigenous University Preparation Program. Applications should include: -a cover letter from the applicant outlining the positive impact of their service and/or volunteerism within an organization or community of benefit to the Indigenous community; and -a letter of reference from a leader or a community member within the organization or community (including a Traditional Indigenous Elder) who can attest to the applicant�s involvement and speak to the positive impact of the applicant�s role. The awards will be administered by the office of Financial Aid and Awards and granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
