| Terms of Reference | The award is valued at a minimum of $5,000 per academic year and is renewable for three more years for a total of four years ($20,000 total disbursement). To receive the award, students must meet the following criteria: - are pursuing a Bachelor�s degree in the Beedie School of Business; - are enrolled in their first year of studies; - are enrolled in a minimum of nine standard graded units at SFU in the term of the award; - are in good academic standing; - are Canadian citizens or permanent residents; and - have expressed interest in studying and pursuing a career in finance. Applications must include: - a one-page statement from the applicant describing their interest in studying and pursuing a career in finance. To receive the second and subsequent award disbursements, students must: - achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and - be enrolled in a minimum of nine standard graded units in the term of the award disbursement. Students will become ineligible for this award funding and/or any subsequent payments if they fail to meet the award renewal criteria. This award cannot be carried over to future terms/years and will be discontinued at the time that the student fails to meet the award criteria (units of enrollment and CGPA). The award will be administered by the office of Financial Aid and Awards and granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the recommendation of the Associate Dean, Beedie School of Business or their designate. |
