Terms of Reference | One or more awards, valued at a minium of $1,000 each, will be granted annually to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria:- are pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences;- are enrolled full-time in the term of eligiblity;- are in good academic standing; and- have made contributions to the well-being of their local, provincial, or national community and who have demonstrated community and/or volunteer service that shows caring and concern for others.Preference will be given to undergraduate students who have understaken academic work relating to Scottish Studies.Applications should include:- a statement from the applicant outlining community/volunteer involvement that shows caring and concern for others; and,- a letter of reference from a community member who can verify the community/volunteer involvement and the impact of the applicant's role.The award will be granted by the Senate Undergarduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon recommendation of the Director, Research Centre for Scottish Studies or their designate.In the event that there is no Director for the Centre, it will be granted on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. |
