| Terms of Reference | Four or more awards, valued at a minimum of $10,000 each, will be granted annually in any term to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria: -are pursuing a bachelor's in business in the Beedie School of Business; -are enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; -are in good academic standing; -self-identify as a woman or gender non-binary; and - who have made a commitment or shown strong interest in pursuing a career in the finance sector and demonstrated a strong work ethic and resilience. Preference wil be given to students with a declared concentration in Finance. Applications should include: - a statement from the applicant outlining their commitment to pursuing a career In the finance sector and demonstrating their strong work ethic and resilience; and -at least one letter of reference from someone who is not a family member and who can verify the applicant's commitment to pursuing a career in the finance sector and their strong work ethic and resilience. Applicants who already hold entrance scholarships or the Beedie Luminaries Scholarship (verified by the Beedie School of Business) are not eligible to receive the Beedie Family Women in Finance Award. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon recommendation of the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs, Beedie School of Business or their designate. |
