Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $1,000, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: is registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL); is enrolled full-time during the term of eligibility, or carrying a reduced course load but acknowledged by the CAL to be entitled to full-time status consideration on disability grounds; is in good academic standing; and has experienced a significant mental health challenge and is persevering to continue their studies. Applications must include a brief letter or video describing the challenge(s) faced while studying at SFU (mental health events, stigma, discrimination, educational compromises, etc.). The award will be administered by the office of Financial Aid and Awards and granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the nomination of the Director, Centre for Accessible Learning. |
