| Terms of Reference | One or more awards, valued at the university's award minimum or more, will be granted annually in any term to students who meet the following criteria: -are enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program in any faculty; -are in good academic standing; -have demonstrated courage in the face of adversity while overcoming medical, personal, financial or other significant obstacles in their pursuit of a post-secondary education with preference for students who have aged out of care or faced geographical barriers to access; and -are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Applicants must provide a one-page personal statement outlining their adverse circumstances and the impact on meeting their educational goals. The application package may include a letter of reference that attests to the applicant's adversity and ability to overcome it to pursue their post-secondary education. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee. |
