| Terms of Reference | Established in 2020 with a generous gift from the First Nations Student Association at Simon Fraser University, this fund is use to support Indigenous students, both undergraduate and graduate, facing any extraordinary circumstance, who require financial assistance. To be eligible to receive funding, the student is required to meet the following criteria: 1. Must be of Canadian Indigenous heritage; 2. Must be a registered SFU student at the time of application (full-time, part-time); 3. Must be in good standing with the University (i.e. academic honesty, student conduct); 4. Must be faced with a sudden emergency situation; and 5. Must have completed the required application form through the Indigenous Student Centre. The funding will be administered by Financial Aid and Awards upon the recommendations of the Director or Coordinator of the Indigenous Student Centre. |
