| Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $1,000, will be granted annually to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria: - are enrolled full-time in the terms of eligibility; - are pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Applied Sciences; - are in good academic standing; and - have demonstrated research interest and/or community involvement in the promotion of STEM education, in particular emerging technologies such as mixed reality, machine learning, Al and Blockchain. Applications must include: - a one-page description of the applicant's demonstrated research interest and/or community involvement in the promotion of STEM education; and - letter of reference from an SFU faculty member from the Faculty of Applied Sciences familiar with the applicant's work. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the nomination of the Associate Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences. |
