Terms of Reference The Pula Award in Health Sciences, valued at a minimum of $1,000, will be awarded annually to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program with an approved major or honours in the Faculty of Health Sciences; - is in good academic standing; and - has a demonstrated history of or expressed interest in doing research work in the area of HIV/AIDS. Preference will be given to students in their 3rd/4th year of study. Applications will consist of - one letter of reference from an SFU faculty member familiar with the applicant's research work and expressed interest in the area of HIV/AIDS; and - a half-page personal statement of goals related to the aims of this award. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences.
