Terms of Reference One award, valued at a minimum of $2000, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is enrolled full-time with a major in any program within the Faculty of Health Sciences at SFU; - is in good academic standing; - has demonstrated leadership to advancing an understanding of public health ethics and advocating for vulnerable populations, and those with a career interest within the health profession. Preference will be given to students entering their final year of study. Applications must include: - a one page statement from the applicant outlining their year of study, their leadership in activities dedicated to advancing an understanding of public health ethics, advocating for social justice and vulnerable populations, and their interest in a career within the health profession - a current resume or CV from the applicant - a letter of reference from a person in a leadership role who can verify the applicant's leadership and achievements in advancing an understanding of public health ethics and their likelihood to pursue a successful career within the health profession. Applications should be received preceding the final year of study. The award will be disbursed upon the recommendation of the Director, Undergraduate Programs, Faculty of Health Sciences and be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
