| Terms of Reference | At least one award valued at a minimum of $5,000, will be granted annually and disbursed as two equal disbursements of $2,500 in the Fall and Spring terms in one academic year, to an incoming first-year student-athlete who fulfills the following criteria: -has met all eligibility requirements to be admissible to an undergraduate Bachelor's degree program at SFU (minimum admission average of 80%) - is enrolled in 12 SFU units or more in any faculty; and - is a member of a varsity team at SFU and has demonstrated high standards of athletic performance. The second disbursement will be contingent upon the student-athlete maintaining good academic standing (minimum CGPA of 2.00) after completion of the first term, enrolment in 12 SFU units or more in Spring term and continuing to meet the required standards in relation to athletic performance. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee based upon the nomination from the Executive Director, Athletics and Recreation. |
