Procedure Student Application
Terms of Reference One award, valued at a minimum of $1,000, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program in any faculty at SFU; - is in their first or second year of study and has completed at least one term (9 units or more); - is in good academic standing; - has demonstrated excellence in community/volunteer service; and - is a dependent of regular City of Surrey employees or regular City of Surrey employees who have passed away. Preference will be given to students that have not received any previous City of Surrey award funding through SFU. Applications must include: - a one-page summary of achievements and activities of the applicant's community/volunteer service; - a letter of reference from someone who can verify the community/volunteer service and the impact of the applicant's role in that service; and - a letter from the Human Resources Office at the City of Surrey confirming the applicant is a dependent of regular City of Surrey employees or regular City of Surrey employees who have passed away while employed at the City of Surrey. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
