Terms of Reference | Awards, valued at a minimum of $1,000 each, will be available annually to undergraduate First Nation, M�tis and Indigenous students attending SFU. The criteria for the award are: - full-time enrollment in courses in any faculty at SFU; - in good academic standing; and - demonstrated community service. Preference will be given to applicants in the following order of priority:- students whose community service is of benefit to the Indigenous community;- students who have a demonstrated connection to the First Nations Student Society. The application must include: - a curriculum vitae outlining the applicant's service and/or volunteerism with an organization of benefit to the Indigenous community; and - a letter of reference verifying the student's service/volunteer activities.Proof of connection to the FNMISA can be demonstrated through a letter from an executive member of the FNSA verifying the applicant's membership in the organization. This award may not be held concurrently with the First Nations, M�tis and Indigenous Student Association Scholarship.The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee. |
