| Terms of Reference | At least one award, valued at a minimum of $1,000, will be granted annually in any term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: - is in good academic standing; - is enrolled full-time; - has a declared major in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies; and - has a demonstrated history of volunteerism and/or community service Preference will be given to applicants who are single parents and/or mature students. Candidates should submit a one page document outlining their volunteerism and/or community service along with a copy of a current unofficial transcript. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the nomination of the Chair, Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies. *Awards at a minimum of $1,000 will be funded annually by Ms. Poppen for a minimum of three years OR until the fund principal reaches a minimum of $20,000. Once the award reaches the endowment threshold, multiple awards of at least $1000 will be made annually from a portion of the income earned from the endowment fund. |
