| Terms of Reference | Granted annually to a student who fulfills the following criteria: enrolled in the Department of Earth Sciences in the Faculty of Science; in good academic standing (minimum CGPA of 2.00); demonstrated leadership and/or community service at SFU or demonstrated outreach and promotion of geoscience to the community. Preference will be given to applicants in their second year of studies. Candidates will apply for the award through the Department of Earth Sciences by including the following documentation: a cover letter from the applicant that elucidates his/her leadership and/or community service at SFU or contribution to the promotion of geoscience to the community; a letter of reference verifying the applicant's leadership and/or community service at the university or demonstrated outreach and promotion of geoscience to the community; a CV or resume. Invitations to submit applications will be announced by the Department of Earth Sciences. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee on the nomination of the Chair, Earth Sciences. |
