Procedure Nomination By Dept
Terms of Reference One or more awards, valued at a minimum of $3,000 each, will be granted annually in any term to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria: - are pursuing a bachelor's degree in the School of Computing Science; - are enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility; - are in good academic standing; and - have demonstrated outstanding volunteer/community service involvement to the University. Applications should include: - a resume outlining the applicant's community/volunteer involvement; - a personal statement outlining community/volunteer involvement; and - a letter of reference from a community member who can verify the SFU community/volunteer involvement and the impact of the applicant's role to the SFU community. The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee upon the nomination of the Dean, Faculty of Applied Science or their designate. The Director, School of Computing Science or their designate will consult with members of the Computing Science Student Society Executive during the departmental adjudication process. This consultation will take place unless prohibited by law.
