| Terms of Reference | One or more awards, each valued at the university�s award minimum or more, will be granted annually in any term to full-time undergraduate students who meet the following criteria: - are enrolled full-time in the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science; - are in their third or fourth year of study; - have a declared major in a Department of Mathematics program; - are in good academic standing; and - have a great enthusiasm for mathematics, as demonstrated by: regular attendance at seminars, colloquia and other Departmental events; participation in the Math Student Union; volunteering for outreach or other initiatives, and/or pursuing an honours degree. Applications must include: - a recent transcript - a statement of interest in mathematics - a letter of reference from a faculty member (or other individual) who can verify the student�s commitment to the subject of mathematics The award will be granted by the Senate Undergraduate Awards Adjudication Committee based upon the recommendation of the Chair, Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science. |
